Our client is an importer of quick and convenient food products for the retail grocery / drug / mass retail accounts across Canada. As a market share leader their product portfolio is well established in every major retailer and channel. Due to increased sales growth, our client is seeking a Western Sales Manager to ensure first class service and support to retail Head Office accounts in Western Canada.
Some of what you will do in this role includes:
- Manage existing customer accounts in Western Canada
- Expand the sales presence in untapped or underdeveloped accounts / regions
- Account sales forecasting - monthly and annually
- Analysis of sales results - monthly and annually
- Manage specific account promotional plans and activity frequency
- Understand and manage trade spend
- Increase market penetration of existing product lines
- Plan and execute the development of new business opportunities by way of new product introductions
- Participate in trade and consumer shows
- In this role some travel is required, up to 10%
- 5+ years in the CPG business
- Experience calling on “multiple” major retailers in Western Canada at the Head Office level
- Have the ability to build trust and foster good relationships
- Strong communication skills and business discipline
- Be organized with good time management skills
- Be analytical with excellent Excel / Word / PowerPoint skill sets
- Legally able to work in Canada and currently living in the Vancouver or lower mainland area with the ability to work in a Burnaby based office setting with some flexibility for remote work
