MacDonald Search Group is proud to partner with a prominent University based in downtown Vancouver in their search for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Human Resources Management to join their faculty in the Master of Administrative Sciences program.

The Assistant Professor in Human Resources Management excels in teaching, especially project-based learning and supports student advising, engages in university service, has professional networks and experiences to support a project-based approach to education of professionals, and sustains a program of research and publications. This is a tenure track position in the School of Public and Global Affairs.

What you will be doing:
  • Teach in the Master of Administrative Sciences program. A full load is 8 classes per year with teaching release available in support of research.
  • Support professional staff by advising and mentoring students.
  • Maintain academic or professional qualifications and currency in your discipline.
  • Participate in University service at various levels.
  • Build and maintain academic and professional networks to support scholarship, teaching, and student placement.
  • Pursuing an active research program resulting in peer-reviewed publications.
  • Supervising capstone projects, internships, and student organizations
  • Supervising the adjunct faculty
Who you are:
  • Ph.D. or other appropriate terminal degree preferred, from an accredited university and in an area relevant to teaching and research expertise. ABD and other appropriate degrees will be considered.
  • Ability to teach, supported by graduate coursework, in the field of Human Resource Management.
  • Professional experience at the supervisory level in Human Resource Management is desired.
  • Teaching experience, preferably at the graduate level.
  • A commitment to reconciliation and gender equity.
  • You have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, research, service, and contributions to student welfare.
  • Must have a strong track record in scholarly and research work through journal and conference publications in the field of Human Resources.
  • You have a passion for teaching and a unique ability to connect with students in a way that makes them excited to learn. You strive to be the Professor that they will long remember had an impact on their lives.
