Our client has been a leader in Central Okanagan’s construction industry for over 3 decades and operates out of one of the largest and most state-of-the-art facilities in central BC.
They are adding a Business Development Manager to the team that will work closely with the Sales Team and be responsible for growing the business. They will develop business strategies, educate customers, and network with potential clients so that they can make profitable sales in the future.
Job Duties
  • Administer and manage marketing and brand-building program development.
  • Conduct market research on education trends and compose corresponding marketing strategies.
  • Monitor and assess local and regional business potential and implement development plans and projects.
  • Establish goals and develop strategies to attain them.
  • Coordinate external business interactions, including negotiations with relevant enterprises, prospects, and other responsible parties or individuals.
  • Respond to business inquiries, development proposals, and client feedback.
  • Communicate development opportunities to potential business partners and prospective educational personnel.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree or similar related;
  • Previous experience in Modular construction an asset.
  • Strong problem-solving and sound business judgement; ability to anticipate issues and resolve challenges quickly and effectively with cross-functional team members
  • Self-starter with a high sense of urgency and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to work independently once given a task
  • Must have clean driving record (proof will be required)
  • Travel is required – 30%
