Bio

Born and raised in the heart of Muskoka, Northern Ontario, Jesse Zulak brings a grounded, relationship-first approach to executive search and professional recruitment across Canada. Jesse relocated to Ottawa in 2009 to complete a Bachelor of Commerce degree at Carleton University, where he developed a strong foundation in business, analytics, and commercial thinking.

Following graduation, Jesse built broad-based experience across retail, banking, and sales environments, giving him firsthand exposure to how organizations operate from the inside. In 2018, Jesse transitioned into recruitment and quickly found his stride, combining business acumen with a consultative mindset focused on understanding the “why” behind every hire.

Prior to joining MacDonald Search Group, Jesse specialized in technical and professional recruitment during the pandemic years, supporting searches nationwide across a wide range of industries and functions. Working in fast-moving, high-demand environments sharpened Jesse’s ability to assess talent beyond the resume, evaluate cultural and technical fit, and deliver results under pressure.

A lifelong learner by nature, Jesse is known for asking thoughtful questions and challenging assumptions. His philosophy is simple: if you can define the right question, the right solution follows.
